The Queensland Police Service (QPS) expresses deep sorrow over the unexpected passing of Ian Leavers APM, Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner, former President of the Queensland Police Union of Employees (QPUE), and former member of QPS.
Mr. Leavers was found deceased around 9:50 a.m. after officers responded to an address in Mount Ommaney. His death is not being treated as suspicious, and inquiries remain ongoing.
