There’s a gripping mystery and a flame-haired Australian actress, but Dakota Fanning notes significant differences between her latest whodunit All Her Fault and last year’s hit The Perfect Couple.
After collaborating with Nicole Kidman, Dakota Fanning shares insights on filming her new Hollywood project in Australia and reflects on her experience growing up in the public eye.
“There’s no dance,” she laughs about the often-imitated flash mob scene in the 2024 Netflix series starring Kidman.
Fanning explains that The Perfect Couple had more humor, whereas All Her Fault focuses more heavily on thriller elements. She adds,
“I think that this [All Her Fault] leans more into the thriller aspect... What we’ve all learned is viewers really love mystery and trying to figure out who is a part of it… That really unites an audience.”
Fanning praises Sarah Snook, an admired South Australian actress known for her role in Succession. She describes her as
“such a talented actor and really a down to earth, grounded, fun person to be around.”
Due to Snook’s busy schedule, they did not socialize much off-set, but Fanning notes it was important for Snook to “recharge and refuel” with her family.
Based on Andrea Mara’s novel, the eight-episode series follows Marissa Irvine, played by Snook, a distraught mother whose child goes missing from a playdate.
Author's summary: Dakota Fanning highlights the shift from humor to thriller in her latest series and shares her admiration for co-star Sarah Snook amid a gripping mystery.
