Over 100 Calgary police officers and bylaw enforcement personnel launched a focused operation in the city’s downtown to enhance public safety. Known as Operation Order, this one-day initiative redeployed officers from other areas to strengthen enforcement efforts in high-priority zones.
The blitz resulted in 20 arrests, numerous court summonses, and referrals to social service agencies. Officers, along with community safety and transit peace officers, patrolled key spots enforcing bylaws and criminal laws related to drug offenses, possession, trafficking, and violent behavior.
