Communities throughout the Inverness area will honor those who died in conflicts during Remembrance events this weekend. The city expects hundreds to attend the main Remembrance Sunday parade and service at Cavell Gardens war memorial.
Similar gatherings will take place at war memorials in towns and villages, where residents will solemnly remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
The parade in Inverness, organized by the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS), will include veterans, cadet groups, youth participants, politicians, and civic leaders. It will assemble on Huntly Street at 2:20 pm.
For the first time, motorcyclists from the Highland Riders’ Branch of the RBLS will join the procession. The parade will cross the River Ness to the war memorial, where the Remembrance service will commence at 3:00 pm.
