Erika Kirk became emotional while reflecting on her late husband Charlie Kirk during an interview on Fox News. She talked about their relationship and his mission prior to his assassination on September 10.
On November 5, Erika appeared on Fox News with Jesse Watters. She shared memories of their early relationship and how she supported Charlie as his career advanced, especially with Turning Point USA.
During the interview, Jesse Watters showed Erika several video clips of Charlie. After watching one, she broke down crying, saying,
“It is the longest video I’ve watched of him (since he passed). Just give me a second.”
Jesse gently encouraged her, "Take your time." The broadcast faded to black as she struggled with her emotions. When the interview resumed, she appeared calmer but remained teary-eyed.
Jesse asked if she knew about Charlie’s mission to save Western civilization. Erika answered,
“No, I did not sign up for anything. I just married the love of my life.”
When asked about the day before the shooting, Erika recalled,
“He was at the office and we were going to meet for dinner beforehand with a dear friend of ours, who I wanted to just be with us and pray with us before the event.”
Erika’s emotional account highlights Charlie Kirk’s dedication and the personal loss she endures following his tragic death.
