For Sarah Snook, leaving her 2-year-old daughter at home to work on the Peacock drama “All Her Fault” helped her connect with her role. She plays Marissa Irvine, a Chicago businesswoman who discovers her son Milo missing after trying to pick him up from a playdate.
Marissa finds she is at the wrong house; the other mother (played by Dakota Fanning) and the homeowner both deny having any knowledge of Milo, who has gone missing.
“It was useful to kind of use my daughter,” said Snook. “What would it be like to have the situation happen to me? I understand that more in depth now being a parent.”
However, Snook admits she couldn’t fully imagine her own daughter in Milo’s place, acknowledging the difficulty of the situation. She explained,
“It’s too hard, it’s too much. If I had, I would have just decided not to work.”
“All Her Fault” is a suspenseful eight-episode series that seriously explores the pressures of motherhood and the heavy burden of guilt women often feel when something goes wrong.
