Brightside Project Steps in for SNAP
In Columbiana County, over 14,000 households receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, with approximately 5,600 children relying on the program. Due to the federal shutdown, the program is currently unfunded, and November benefits were not received.
The Brightside Project is responding to this crisis by distributing crisis relief food bags to children aged 3 to 8 at their headquarters.
