Vote count has entered its final phase in the 2025 Yukon elections. Laura Lang, who defeated Mike Pemberton for the Whitehorse West seat, expressed her surprise and pride as a Yukoner.

“I’m prepared to work damn hard,” she said. “We work hard, we listen to each other, and we take care. And that’s what happened in this campaign.”

In other updates, Cory Bellmore of the NDP is leading incumbent Liberal Jeremy Harper 315-288 in Mayo-Tatchun. Yukon Party leader Currie Dixon is ahead of Matthew Lien of the NDP by over 200 votes in Copperbelt North, with five of nine polls reporting.
