Arkansas football brings different routines, mindset into Tennessee game | Whole Hog Sports

Arkansas Football Under Interim Coach Bobby Petrino

Interim coach Bobby Petrino has brought a new mindset to the Arkansas football program, with a focus on specific routines and practices.

Under Petrino, Tuesday and Wednesday practices are 2-hour, 10-minute sessions, while Thursdays are dedicated to fast-tempo drills with the goal of achieving perfection in gametime situations.

“It’s been fun to name it Perfect Thursday years and years ago,” said Petrino. “Some of the reason we did that is for the coaches to be positive and make sure that we get our players in the right state of mind to go battle on Saturday.”

Petrino, who previously served as Arkansas' head coach from 2008-11 with a 34-17 record, has been busy since his promotion from offensive coordinator to interim head coach after the firing of Sam Pittman.

The team is preparing for their upcoming game against Tennessee, with a scheduled flight and kickoff time of 3:15 p.m.

Author's summary: Arkansas football adapts to Petrino's coaching style.
