Chelsea Secures Victory Over Tottenham
Chelsea secured a fifth successive H2H victory over Tottenham Hotspur, beating their below-par capital rivals 1-0 to move level on points with them in the Premier League table.
A London derby got off to a slow start, with the tempo perhaps owing to the early concussion withdrawal of Spurs midfielder Lucas Bergvall.
Play remained trapped in the middle of the park with Chelsea largely dictating things. Their first presentable sight at goal didn’t arrive until the 20-minute mark, when Alejandro Garnacho’s effort was safely deflected into the hands of Guglielmo Vicario.
