Chinese President Xi Jinping's decision to stay at a four-star hotel during his visit to Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, has drawn attention.
The Chinese delegation chose the Kolon Hotel, located away from the city center, over more luxurious five-star options.
Xi's visit includes a bilateral summit with US President Donald Trump and talks with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung.
The Kolon Hotel is situated about 10 minutes from Bulguksa Temple on Tohamsan.
No official statement was given for the choice of hotel.
