San Jose State is set to play their first game at CEFCU Stadium in nearly a month, looking to revive their bowl hopes against Hawaii on Saturday night.
The Spartans (2-5, 1-2 Mountain West) need a strong finish to extend their bowl streak to four consecutive seasons. They are coming off a bye after consecutive losses at Wyoming and Utah State, where they blew fourth-quarter leads.
"This is a pivotal game for our season," head coach Ken Niumatalolo said. "We still have a lot to play for, but you got to start with one (win).
San Jose State has lost four of their five games by a touchdown or less, and their two wins were by a combined 10 points, both at home.
The game against Hawaii is crucial for the Spartans' season, and a home victory could be the turning point they need.
