BPS Suspends Mail to US and Canada
The Barbados Postal Service (BPS) has suspended mail services to the United States, its dependencies, and Canada due to challenges from shifting Customs and labor conditions abroad.
Postmaster General Joanne Busby confirmed that effective September 24, all Universal Postal Union (UPU) mail services, including letters, parcels, and Express Mail Service (EMS), to the US, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and Canada have been temporarily halted.
