Nathan McSweeney has scored his first Sheffield Shield century for South Australia since his brief stint in the Test side last summer.
McSweeney's ton has given South Australia hope of a win against Western Australia, with the team at 4-297 at stumps on day three, leading WA by 205.
McSweeney's 103 was scored alongside a patient 84 from Henry Hunt, as South Australia eyes off the chance of setting a fourth-innings target at the WACA on Friday.
After being dropped from the Test side in December, McSweeney has been solid without being spectacular, but his recent performance is a promising sign.
McSweeney was thrown into the deep end and asked to move up and open against India last summer.
