Worthing's Only Council-Run Dementia Care Home To Close

West Sussex County Council is reshaping adult social care, resulting in the closure of New Tyne Residential Care Home in Worthing.

The home, which supports 12 older residents with dementia, will cease services after a review into its long-term sustainability.

The decision was made by Councillor Amanda Jupp, Cabinet Member for Adults’ Services, following consultation with residents' families, staff, UNISON, and the council's Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee.
