Christopher Husbands is serving a life sentence for manslaughter after killing two and nearly killing a 13-year-old boy in a mall shooting.
Husbands will have a parole hearing later this month, just six years after he was found guilty of two counts of manslaughter in the deaths of Ahmed Hassan, 24, and Nixon Nirmalendran, 22.
On that June evening in 2012, Husbands sent 14 bullets flying in a busy food court, bent on revenge and without concern for anyone else caught in his wild gunfire.
How quickly time flies — even for a killer who has two victims on his resume, and very nearly a third young teen as well.
Husbands' actions could have resulted in more casualties, but fortunately, only two lives were lost.
Author's summary: Killer applies for parole after six years.
