After a tough start to the season, the Corowa A Grade cricket side bounced back impressively on Saturday, securing a determined 17-run victory over Belvoir in a gripping contest at Ball Park.
Batting first, Corowa showed greater discipline and intent, led by a superb innings from Ben Fulford, whose 78 runs — including four fours and four sixes — proved the difference between the two sides.
Fulford’s innings earned him Man of the Match honours.
Late in the innings, Blake Elliot provided valuable resistance with an unbeaten 16 not out, helping Corowa post a competitive 145.
Belvoir made a promising start in reply, but Corowa’s bowlers combined pressure and persistence to gradually turn the game in their favour.
