GVL Left Without Interleague Opponent
The rivalry between the Goulburn Valley League and the Ovens and Murray League has come to an end, at least for now.
The Ovens and Murray League has signed a two-year interleague deal with the Bendigo Football Netball League, closing the chapter on a long-standing competition.
The competition, which dates back to 1954, has seen the O&M take three out of four victories on the football field between 2022-2025.
- The GVL's alternative interleague opponent for the next two years is yet to be confirmed.
- The league was only informed of the decision last week, according to operations manager Brad Noonan.
The fortunes have favoured the black and gold in recent years.
