Analysis of the 2026 Budget
Pearl Agius, a former Żgħażagħ Laburisti executive and young lawyer, shared her thoughts on the budget.
At face value, it’s a very good budget – practically incredible. It properly helps out families with children, who are the fulcrum of our society, as well as pensioners, students and businesses – the backbone of the economy.
However, she noted that the budget may not provide sufficient support for prospective parents. As a 26-year-old woman with a job and a prospective home owner, Agius highlighted the concerns of youths and young families without children.
