A Milwaukee family's attorney has stated that an officer-involved shooting resulting in the death of 26-year-old Elijah Wilkes was justified.
Attorney B'Ivory LaMarr, representing Wilkes' family, reviewed police body camera footage of the incident with the victim's mother, Pamela Bond Slater, during a meeting with Milwaukee Police Department officials.
The shooting occurred during a traffic altercation on Mill Road near Interstate 94.
"We will acknowledge that we do believe that this officer involved shooting was justified,"
said LaMarr during a press conference. AUTHOR SUMMARY: Officer shooting deemed justified by victim's family attorney.
