Cornwall city council has invited Via Rail representatives to address the council regarding a pilot project that was put on hold due to backlash.
The council has agreed to advocate against potential Via Rail cuts and operational changes, joining a growing list of municipalities that want to discuss service levels with the company.
"You would have been better off talking to a wall,"
said Claude McIntosh, recalling a previous meeting with Via Rail representatives seven years ago, where they showed no interest in the city's concerns.
