The BYD Atto 2 will be getting a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant soon, the Chinese carmaker has confirmed.
Powered by what BYD calls
“Super Hybrid with DM technology”, the new BYD Atto 2 DM-i will arrive in Europe in the first quarter of 2026.
Details for the PHEV Atto 2 remain scarce, but BYD says that it’ll be offered in two variants, with different battery sizes offering different driving range, power outputs, and performance.

BYD says the DM-i system, which stands for Dual Mode-intelligent, will automatically choose the most appropriate hybrid modes on longer journeys to eke out more range.
