Gaza Peace Summit Invitation
US President Donald Trump has formally invited Greece and Cyprus to a Gaza peace summit in Egypt on October 13.
The invitations were extended to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides.
The summit, to be chaired by President Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, will address the worsening humanitarian crisis and ongoing conflict in Gaza.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he will attend.
The conference follows a historic ceasefire deal and highlights Greece and Cyprus' roles in Eastern Mediterranean diplomacy.
