Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested two suspected ISIS operatives for planning to execute terror strikes in crowded areas of Delhi.
According to a police officer, the accused, both named Adnan and in their 20s, were arrested from Delhi's Sadiq Nagar and Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal.
The duo were planning to execute terror strikes in the crowded areas of Delhi and other parts of the country. They had undergone training for executing the planned attacks.
The officer added that they were highly radicalized and guided by handlers from outside the country. Both are being interrogated further.
This is the second major arrest by the Special Cell in two months, following the bust of an ISIS module operating in the country.
