A New Partnership to Support People with Brain Injuries

Headway Devon, a local charity based in Exeter, has partnered with Thompsons Solicitors, MAPS Benevolent Trust, and the Players of the Postcode Lottery to support individuals with brain injuries.

After a brain injury, people are often discharged home without adequate support, despite having spent months in hospital and rehabilitation with a team of clinicians. As one might expect,

you've spent months in hospital, in ICU, in rehabilitation with a team of clinicians around you and suddenly you're all alone.

Many individuals may not fully understand their condition or know how to navigate the legal process for compensation. Headway Devon currently supports around 100 people weekly, but there are many more who are discharged without knowledge of the charity's services.

Thanks to the new partnership, Headway Devon can now provide support to individuals in the hospital, expanding their reach to those who need it most.
