Tens of thousands of people were forced to take shelter on Saturday evening as a storm hit Salt Lake City, resulting in the early cancellation of the RedWest music festival.
The festival, which was in its second of three days at the Utah State Fairpark, featured headliners such as Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, and Noah Kahan.
Attendees were notified via the festival's mobile app to pause the shows shortly before 5:15 p.m. Organizers then announced on social media that everyone needed to gather their belongings, leave the venue, and take shelter.
“From the bathrooms, to the tents... now we’re in this random building," said Alan Scott from Idaho. "Luckily these nice people let us in.
