A 17-mile stretch of Southern California's I-5 freeway was shut down on Saturday due to a military event at Camp Pendleton.
The event, which involved live ammunition, was part of the U.S. Marine Corps' 250th anniversary celebration.
Video footage provided by California officials showed live munitions being fired near the freeway on Friday, apparently as a practice run.
The freeway has since reopened on Saturday afternoon.
