Judco Manufacturing, a California-based company, will relocate its research and development operations to Greene County, bringing 60 new jobs and investing $5.3 million.
“That’s great news,” said John Hunt, a Greene County resident. “I think it’s important for growth. I mean, anytime a company comes in and wants to invest in a county.”
The company will be based in a building on Carolina Drive in Snow Hill, a small town in Greene County. This decision is seen as a win for the community, with residents welcoming the investment and job opportunities.
The move is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, with residents no longer having to spend their money in neighboring towns like Kinston, Goldsboro, or Greenville.
The announcement was made by Gov. Roy Cooper on Wednesday, marking a significant investment in the region.
