The Town of Ashland has announced the arrival of its new 2024 four-wheel drive ambulance, enhancing regional emergency response.
This state-of-the-art vehicle was made possible through $431,000 in Congressionally Directed Spending secured by U.S. Senator Susan Collins.
“Mainers in every part of our state should be able to receive the vital medical services they need,”
said Collins. The new ambulance will benefit Ashland and surrounding communities, including Masardis, Garfield Plantation, and several unorganized territories.
Ambulance Director Tara Peterson led the successful funding application, ensuring improved access to life-saving care.
