Marketplaces generate over 247 billion euros in turnover.
In the financial year between 2024 and 2025, the European cross-border ecommerce market reached a turnover of 358.7 billion euros, with 247.5 billion euros (70%) generated by online marketplaces.
According to the sixth edition of the “TOP 100 Cross-Border Marketplaces Europe” report from Cross-Border Commerce Europe, last year, online marketplaces generated 225 billion euros (69%) of the total online cross-border revenue, with the market worth 326 billion euros.
Top 10 Cross-Border Marketplaces
The report released a top 10 of cross-border marketplaces, with prominent online platforms like Amazon and eBay dominating the cross-border market, capturing over half of the marketplace-driven turnover.
