Frosses driver Eamonn Kelly is determined to get back on the stages after rolling his Ford Fiesta Rally3 during the opening leg of the Central European Rally.
The event began with a 12-kilometre stage in western Germany, but Kelly and his co-driver Conor Mohan were forced to retire on Stage 1.
"Gutted is the only word to describe how we’re feeling now," Kelly said. "We were caught on the pollution of final corner in SS1 and went off the road. I’m sorry to the whole team and people around me who made a massive effort over the last month in preparation for this event, it’s a hard one to take.
Kelly hopes to return to the stages, as the car should be fixable.
