Bangkok Police Dismantle Sophisticated Drug Operation
Bangkok police have taken down a foreign-led drug operation in the Sukhumvit area, arresting seven foreign nationals and one Thai woman.
Those arrested included Egyptians, Pakistanis, Afghans, Myanmar nationals, and an Iraqi. The Thai woman is suspected of running a hair salon as a front for narcotics sales.
- 23 hookah stoves and pots were confiscated
- 55 boxes of snuff were seized
- 125 packs of illegal cigarettes were found
- Three bank account books were discovered
- Over 125,000 baht in cash was recovered, with an additional 4,000 baht from a sting operation
A hidden "secret room" was also discovered, where clients could use illegal drugs.
