Chicago Youth Explore Science with Space Explorers
Since 1991, the University of Chicago's Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics has connected students from Chicago Public Schools with world-class astronomers and physicists.
The Space Explorers program, run by the Kavli Institute, introduces students to open-ended problem-solving through hands-on challenges, such as building model rockets, boats, and cars, and participating in the classic egg drop experiment.
Initially focused on cosmology, the program has expanded to cover various areas of science, allowing students to explore different scientific interests.
