A 26-year-old man, Kyle Brown, has been sentenced to two years in prison for possessing a loaded gun in a business on East Bay Street.
Brown was found with a grey and black Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol and six rounds of ammunition at around 3am on October 12. He pleaded guilty to possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.
Brown was sentenced to two years at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services, with Inspector Deon Barr prosecuting the case.
