The South Dakota State volleyball team remained unbeaten in Summit League play, improving to 5-0, after beating St. Thomas in four sets on Saturday night.
The Jackrabbits, now 11-3 overall, won the match with scores of 25-15, 27-25, 15-25, and 25-23. Key players included Sylvie Zgonc with 22 kills, Madison Burr with 11 kills, and Rylee Martin with 46 assists and 16 digs.
"With today being Hobo Day, the excitement building up to it this week was just awesome," Zgonc said. "I think this might have been one of the best turnouts we've had fan-wise and yeah, we definitely felt their energy and support. We kind of had the mentality that no one comes in here and messes with us."
An enthusiastic crowd of 1,910 attended the match, providing significant support to the team. The Jackrabbits responded well to the energy, using it to fuel their performance and overcome challenges during the game.
