Director Scott Cooper on Working with Bruce Springsteen
Director Scott Cooper discusses his experience working with Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Allen White on the new biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere.
Cooper recalls that Springsteen visited the set just four days into shooting, and despite the pressure of making a film about a cultural icon, Springsteen was not directive.
“Look, any time you’re making a film about a cultural icon and someone who’s as legendary as Bruce, there’s always trepidation, right?”
The film is based on Warren Zanes' 2023 Nebraska-era biography and stars Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen.
According to Cooper, Springsteen was emotional after watching the movie, with
“tears in his eyes”.
