Inter have confirmed that defender Matteo Darmian has sustained a muscular problem in his left leg and will miss upcoming matches.
Darmian, who will turn 36 in December, has made two appearances this season, including FIFA Club World Cup games over the summer.
A statement from the Nerazzurri medical staff announced that he was diagnosed with a strain of the soleus muscle in his left leg.
Darmian will be out of action for at least a couple of weeks, ruling him out of the Inter squad for Saturday’s Serie A trip to Roma, the Champions League encounter with Union Saint-Gilloise, and the Scudetto showdown with Napoli on October 25.
