Torture Wins Debutant Stakes
Trainers Ben, Will, and JD Hayes have introduced a promising juvenile, two-year-old filly Torture, who won the Listed Debutant Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield.
Sent out at $21, Torture came from behind the leaders to score by half a length from stablemate Free Flying, ridden by Ethan Brown.
- Torture is the first winner and stakes winner by freshman sire Sword Of State.
- Sword Of State is a Group One winning son of Snitzel, standing at Cambridge Stud.
“It was nice to run one-two in the race, and to get some black-type with a filly is very important,”
Ben Hayes said, expressing his thrill for the whole team.
