Las Cruces Police have released 9-1-1 calls, body camera video, and new details about the suspect who was shot and killed by an LCPD officer outside a Chili's restaurant.
The suspect, 50-year-old Philip Adrian Mullin, allegedly threatened restaurant patrons with a knife and a hammer. The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. at the Chili's on South Telshor Blvd.
According to Police Chief Jeremy Story, Mullin visited a local gun store around 10:40 a.m. and asked about the cheapest handgun, but left without making a purchase.
