Meet the humble saint who built a grand chapel for his favorite saint.
St. Joseph’s Oratory is Canada’s largest church and one of the largest dedicated to St. Joseph.
“pulls you toward something higher”
as one pilgrim told EWTN News’ Mark Irons.
Monier and Danielle Morin, Montreal locals and devotees of St. Joseph, visit the oratory to pray.
Monier said, “We pray for him to intercede for us.” Danielle added:
“He listened to God.”
They also venerate St. André Bessette, a fellow Montrealer devoted to St. Joseph, saying
“He’s our saint”.
The oratory was founded by then-Brother André and draws 2 million visitors per year, all in a spiritual quest to
“Go to Joseph”.
