Delays in the Postal Service are exacerbating the challenges faced by the newspaper industry.
Subscribers have reported delays of up to two months in receiving their newspapers.
“I have so many frustrated people that call and just say, ‘Well, there’s no point in me getting the newspaper because it never gets delivered to me,’”
said Jill Friesz, owner of GS Publishing, which operates seven weekly newspapers in North Dakota.
A subscriber even visited Friesz's office, expressing his frustration and threatening to cancel his subscription due to the consistent delays.
