Polaris Industries Sells Indian Motorcycle
Indian Motorcycle announced that the company will retain the majority of its team after being sold by Polaris Industries to Carolwood LP, a California-based private equity firm.
Polaris is confident in Indian Motorcycle’s future success under Carolwood ownership and will maintain a small equity position in the business after the transaction closes.
According to the press release, the deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026. Approximately 900 employees will transition to the new Indian Motorcycle Company at its manufacturing facilities in Spirit Lake and Monticello, Minnesota, as well as a design and technology center in Switzerland.
