Family-friendly fundraiser ‘Run for Rivers’ raises funds for new Confluence Center
The Confluence Center of Colorado will host its inaugural ‘Run for Rivers’ fundraiser on November 8, along the Riverfront Trail in Grand Junction.
The event will feature a 5k run, 1K run for kids, and other activities like a nature scavenger hunt and art projects, starting at 10 a.m.
"We wanted to build awareness about this wonderful new community space,"said Johanna Van Waveren, Eureka’s Community Engagement Director.
- 5K and 1K runs will start and end at the new Confluence Center
- Grand Opening event for The Confluence Center on November 5th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Confluence Center is a hub for education, stewardship, and collaboration around rivers, habitats, and natural resources, located along the riverfront trail.
