Cross River PDP Faction Rejects Wike's Influence
A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State has stated that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, cannot dictate its affairs.
According to Bassey Eko Ewa, factional Chairman of the party's Caretaker Committee,
Wike is no longer part of PDP and cannot influence its affairs.
Ewa made this statement in Calabar while reacting to recent controversies over the conduct of the state congress that produced the Venatius Ikem-led executive.
- Ewa alleged that Wike, in collaboration with the PDP National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, supported the disputed congress held two weeks ago.
