Unstable Ground Forces Evacuation of Two Bethlehem Businesses
Two businesses in Bethlehem, Jiffy Lube and Hoffman’s Car Wash, were evacuated due to unstable ground at 55 Delaware Ave.
Bethlehem Town Attorney Jim Potter said the property had to be vacated on Sunday.
A crack in the parking area, present for over a year, has raised concerns about the slope's stability. A geotechnical engineer has deemed the slope "borderline unstable", with additional rain potentially causing it to become unstable.
