The Indian Cricket Team skipper continued his good form with the bat in tests, setting the stage on fire after walking out to bat in the last session of day one.
Gill looked solid right from the start, opening his account with a brilliant boundary, and after slamming a brilliant fifty in the first match in Ahmedabad, he started from where he left off.
He provided great support to Yashasvi Jaiswal, who played an innings of 175 runs off 258 balls, and after Jaiswal's run out, Gill unleashed himself and played magical shots.
