Fans got a behind-the-scenes look at the bachelorette party scene during filming. Director Nisha Ganatra shared her experience balancing humor and chaos in the movie's biggest moments.
“It was just so fun. When you have Vanessa Bayer, everything’s gonna be funny, especially with Lindsay and Jamie involved. I really wanted to get the switch right, because that’s the magic of the movie. If you don’t buy that moment, everything falls apart.”
Ganatra described the film’s four-way body swap as one of the most complex sequences she has ever directed.
“Oh my God, it was so confusing on the page. You’re really directing eight performances with four actors. It’s super challenging, but they made it look easy.”
When asked about a potential third installment, Ganatra hinted:
“I think it’s time for the guys to swap. But to me, the joy of ‘Freakier Friday’ is the celebration of sisterhood and chosen family — just unapologetic female energy.”
Freakier Friday became available on digital platforms like Amazon, Fandango, and Apple TV on October 7 and started streaming on Disney+ in November.
