For the second time in four days, fast bowler Kyle Jamieson held his nerve in the final over to claim a thrilling T20 victory. The Black Caps defeated the West Indies by nine runs in Nelson, with the visitors falling short of the 178-run target in a dramatic finish.
A late partnership between West Indies tailenders Sharmar Springer and Romario Shepherd raised hopes, but it was not enough. Jamieson dismissed Shepherd, who was on 49 runs, caught skying a ball to Daryl Mitchell on the boundary.

Batting first, the Black Caps felt they might have left runs behind after a late collapse at Saxton Oval. Daryl Mitchell contributed 41 runs from 24 balls, including an impressive 80-metre six.
New Zealand ended their innings at 177 for 9, losing wickets cheaply towards the end. Springer bowled two tidy overs at the death for the West Indies.
