Samira Wiley and Jin Ha Join Broadway Revival of Proof
Emmy and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley will make her Broadway debut this spring playing Claire in the revival of Proof, David Auburn's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The production will be directed by Tony winner Thomas Kail.
Grammy nominee Jin Ha will return to Broadway as Hal, joining previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle. The play opens at the Booth Theatre on March 31, 2026.
Samira Wiley's Career Highlights
A Juilliard graduate, Wiley recently performed at London’s Donmar Warehouse in Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel and appeared at the National Theatre in Blues For An Alabama Sky. Off-Broadway, she starred in the 2016 production of Daphne’s Dive at the Signature Theatre.
On television, Wiley is known for her role as Poussey Washington on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black. She recently completed filming the final season of Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, winning the 2018 Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama and earning three additional nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Jin Ha's Broadway and Music Achievements
Ha debuted on Broadway in 2017 in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M. The next year, he portrayed Annas in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
