Traffic on the M25 faced major disruption after a multi-vehicle collision that led to the closure of several lanes and the deployment of an air ambulance. The incident occurred between Junction 25 (A10 Great Cambridge Road, Enfield) and Junction 24 (A111 Stagg Hill, Potters Bar).
National Highways initially reported a full closure on the anti-clockwise carriageway between Junctions 25 and 23, causing delays of around an hour and congestion stretching over four miles. Traffic monitoring service Inrix noted one lane remained closed, with severe delays still affecting the area.

An air ambulance was called to the scene, prompting a brief closure of the clockwise carriageway between Junctions 23 (A1M) and 25 to facilitate its landing. National Highways stated that the situation was “not as serious as initially feared,” but warned drivers to expect continued delays through the afternoon.
